Bream Creek Community Market Garden

Fresh local produce at a roadside stall, direct to chefs, and in food boxes
Hobart & South - Autumn - Vegetables

With produce proudly grown in the Sorell region, this self-funded social enterprise has large fridges in two convenient roadside locations – at Bream Creek, and Dunalley Community House.

These 24-hour fridges are filled with seasonal produce and local dairy milk. Depending on what’s in season, you can expect to find quality salad mixes, silverbeet, kale, fennel, cabbages, potatoes, pumpkins and more. Produce is also sold directly to chefs.

Bream Creek Community Market Garden aim to return as much as possible to the grower as possible. The organisation aims to keep the roadside stalls affordable and open 24 hours a day to ease food insecurity in the district.

The group also have a market garden that they operate when they can fund a crop. They use organic practices and know where all of their inputs come from.
