Burnie Farmers Market

North West - Autumn - Markets & Farmgates

The Burnie Farmers Market was the first community-run farmers’ market established in Tasmania and continues to offer an impressive variety of fresh, local produce.

The Burnie Farmers Market is held the first and third Saturday of each month from 8am to 12pm at the rear of the Wivenhoe showgrounds.

There are typically 50-60 stallholders, and alongside some of the region’s best farm produce are: food and beverage stalls, hand-made baked goods and other crafts and hand-made products.

The Burnie Farmers Market is still the best place to buy fresh local produce, and chat with the producer or farmer.

The Burnie Farmers Market is owned by the Burnie City Council and managed by Angela Cannell.
