Harvest Festival Growing Together
“When you have more than you need build a bigger table – not a higher fence”
Our friends at The Huon Valley Food Hub have created a joyful and jam-packed series of food festivities across the Huon Valley.
The Harvest series brings together producers and everyday eaters to celebrate living in the Valley and the bounty of produce at this peak harvest season.
There’s a lot happening in the Huon over the next two months:
Cooking demonstrations and local feasts
Opportunities to buy local produce and meet local growers
Workshops on growing and preserving the harvest
Seed swapping and School farm blitzes.
View the full program below and book your tickets here.
Home cooks, producers and foodie-minded friends from across the valley are rolling up their sleeves to prepare and share their favourite seasonal dishes. Produce is plucked from fields not far from the table and served with conviviality.
Local, hearty, simple food made by homestyle cooks Jo Thalmann, Bruce Baker, Kate Flint and others. Together they aim to show eaters how food prepared simply, and eaten in season can become a way of life for every home cook.
