Hamlet is a registered charity and social enterprise on the leafy banks of the Hobart Rivulet.

This is a café that is a welcoming space that empowers the community. A key part of this is through Hamlet providing training and work experience to Tasmanians facing barriers to employment. Hamlet also operates a hospitality training program, all while making flavourful condiments and catering.

Stop by the café for some delicious focaccias, sweet and savoury snacks, and warming dine-in meals. The condiment range is also inspiring – with the likes of greengage Worcestershire sauce, hot sauces, a nectarine ‘plum’ sauce, and a range of jams sourced from local berry farms and orchards. Think: local produce preserved at its best.

Hamlet is a space to support participants to gain experience in a real working cafe environment, to support the people who grow and share food, and to foster a vibrant and inclusive community.
